This simple Cranberry sauce has three ingredients, takes 20 minutes, and can be made days ahead.
Cranberries, Cranberry Sauce
- 8 servings
(16 ounce) package of fresh cranberries, rinsed and picked over
frozen concentrated orange juice
In a 2 quart saucepan, combine all the ingredients.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer and cook until the cranberries pop, about 15 minutes. Mixture will start to thicken.
Serve as is if a chunky consistency is desired.
If a smooth consistency is desired, pass through a fine sieve. Alternatively, you can use a
high performance blender
to pulverize the sauce until smooth.
Allow to cool before serving. The cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.
This sauce can be made up to 5 days ahead and refrigerated.
