Golden Turmeric Milk

A serving of golden milk is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients. No need to take pills when you can get the benefits from this soothing drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk* I use Trader Joe's
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 - 3 teaspoons honey or to taste, preferably local

Instructions

  • Add the coconut milk, coconut oil, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and pepper in a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Strain into a cup and stir in the desired amount of honey to taste.

Notes

You can use the milk of your choice - milk, almond, cashew, etc.
