1tablespoonpure maple syrup - more or less to your liking
2teaspoonsgrated ginger
Optional garnish:
Mint leaves
Basil leaves
Slice of lemon
Instructions
Add all the ingredients in a mason jar. Seal and shake shake shake until it’s all mixed together. Place in refrigerator and chill until cold. I keep it in the fridge for a few hours. Keeps up to 3 days.
The longer it sits, the spicier it gets. When ready to drink, give it a good shake and enjoy. If you don’t want pieces of ginger, you can strain it before drinking. After it’s shaken, the ginger will settle to the bottom allowing you to pour out the liquid. I go big and enjoy the ginger as well.
Notes
*You can substitute club soda for the water. If you do, add a little into the jar first along with the other ingredients and mix. Then add remaining club soda and stir until combined. It will fizz up so try and mix well with the small amount first.
