    Lena's simple green smoothieLena's Simple Green Smoothie is so delicious, you'll forget it's healthy. Want to know the best part? It takes 2 minutes to prepare and consists of only 4 ingredients and that's including the water!

    I know what you're thinking...another green smoothie. There are so many combinations to make a green smoothie. The possibilities are endless. This one - introduced to me by my daughter - is incredibly simple to prepare and very refreshing. You might consider this the perfect green smoothie for beginners.

    The ingredients are:

    • Water
    • Baby spinach
    • Banana
    • Pear

    Lena's simple green smoothie ingredients.That's it. No, I'm not kidding.
    Just throw everything in your blender and blend until smooth.
    The outcome is a beautiful rich green smoothie that's sweetened only by the natural sugar of the fruit, which makes you forget there's spinach in the smoothie. I buy a big bunch of bananas and the moment they get spotty, I store them in the freezer. Using frozen bananas in smoothies makes them taste that much better.

    I'll be honest, the first time Lena made it for me, I was hesitant. I told her I'd pass. With her continued persistence, I gave it a go. I mean it's only fair since I make her try my concoctions. She made a believer out of me.

    This makes two servings. It stores beautifully in the fridge in case you want to save one for later. Give it a shake or a stir and you’re all set. It will make anyone a lover of green smoothies. The only way to believe me is to make it.

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups cold filtered water*
    • 2 cups baby spinach Packed
    • 1 medium banana
    • 1 pear Quartered and cored
    Prevent your screen from going dark

    Instructions

    • Place all the ingredients in order listed into blender and blend for 30 seconds or until smooth.

    Notes

    *If you want a thicker smoothie, use 1 cup of water.
